Bio:
Val Mercado (born Valerie Mercado on February 17, 1992 in New York City, New York) is a model, journalist, blogger and aspiring actress. Val enrolled as a full time nursing student in New York City, balancing two jobs – including a production assistant role on the Wendy Williams show — while going to school. She changed her major to journalism and graduated with honors and a degree in broadcast journalism. Val started working for Seventeen Magazine as a fashion blogger and a red carpet reporter. She became a model, creating an online presence under the username, ClothesMindedx3, taken from a blog she used to have in college. Her Instagram became incredibly popular, reaching over 1 million followers in 2016. Val was thrust further into the spotlight in Jan. 2016, after she was seen alongside rapper Tyga. Val bore a striking resemblance to Tyga’s on-again/off-again girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.

Personal Life:
Val is the eldest of seven children. Her mother was only a teen when she had Val, but managed to provide her a happy childhood. She has three tattoos, all on her right hand. She isn’t a fan of alcohol, but she loves horror movies, video games and Harry Potter. Her favorite singers are Beyonce and Lauren Hill, but she’s also a fan of old-school hip-hop.
