John King (Born August 30, 1963 in Dorchester, MA) is an American broadcast journalist. John is CNNās chief national correspondent, and host of the roundtable political discussion program Inside Politics. John joined the Associated Press in 1985, and was named their chief political correspondent in 1991. He headed the APās political coverage of the 1992 and 1996 presidential elections. He won the top reporting prize from the Associated Press Managing Editorsā Association in 1991 for his coverage of the Gulf War. John was CNNās Senior White House Correspondent from 1999-2005. As chief national correspondent, he also appears on The Situation Room and Anderson Cooper 360°, along with his show Inside Politics. Johnās known for covering the elections for the network, manning their āMagic Wallā or āMagic Map,ā a live map that shows election results state-by-state.

Personal Life:
Johnās first marriage was to Jean Makie. Together they had two children, Noah King and Hannah King. He later married fellow CNN anchor Dana Bash, in 2008. They had a son together, Jonah King, in 2011. The couple divorced in 2012.
