Gennady Golovkin (born Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin in Karaganda, Kazakhstan on April 8, 1982) is a  Kazakhstani professional boxer. He currently holds the unified WBA, WBC, IBF and IBO middleweight titles. Gennady was ranked the world’s number one middleweight by The Ring magazine and BoxRec in July 2016. He is also ranked as the world’s third best boxer, pound for pound. Gennady and Kell Brook fought for the world middleweight title on Sept. 10, 2016.
