But this is a difficult fight for Kell, who has gone up two weight divisions to challenge the Kazakhstan champ in London at the O2 Arena. It’s a battle that Kell has admitted he’s venturing into the unknown with, but one he will relish.
“I’m entering unknown territory but I’m full of energy and will be explosive with the extra pounds,” Brook said at the weigh-in on Sept. 9 that was attended by over 1,000 eager fight fans. “There’s a lot of politics in boxing and it’s destroying the game. And if you can’t get massive fights at your weight, you may have to jump a division or two.”
