These Strawberry Gouda Flowers are an easy put-together dish that looks just as good as they taste!
To begin, you’ll want to cut 3 ounces of good Gouda cheese into 9 cubes, about ¾-inch each. We suggest trying Wisconsin’s award-winning Arthur Baw Original Gouda Cheese.
Thaw out one box of frozen puff pastry. Unfold one puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
Cut out nine pastries with a 3-inch flower cookie cutter. Cut windows, removing centers from nine flowers with a 1 1/2-inch round cookie cutter.
Brush edges of the solid flowers with water. Top with window flowers. Place 1/2 teaspoon strawberry preserves into the center of each flower. Top centers with reserved gouda cubes.
Brush egg wash on the pastry of each flower and bake for 10 minutes in a 400F oven.
Voila! Serve warm and dusted with confectioners’ sugar for a sweet treat for mom!
