2022 marks the 15th anniversary of Hilary Duff’s album ‘Dignity’! Here are some fast facts even super fans might not have known about the smash album.
Hilary’s 4th studio album was perhaps her most personal. She co-wrote every single track on the album with longtime collaborator Kara DioGuardi.
The album produced 3, chart-topping singles: “Play With Fire”, “ Stranger”, and “With Love”
The “With Love” music video features a young Kellan Lutz as Hilary’s love interest, a year before he starred in the first ’Twilight’ movie
On the ‘Dignity’ tour, Hilary performed a song that wasn’t at the album at the time, “Reach Out”. It was intended to be featured on a plan re-release of the album, but that never came to be. It landed on her greatest hits album instead.
The fifth song on the album, “Gypsy Woman”, was co-written by Hilary, Ryan Tedder, and her older sister, Haylie Duff.
Many believed the title track “Dignity” was a dig at Nicole Richie, who started dating Hilary’s ex Joel Madden after their split – but Hilary has denied this.
