Vicki Gardner (from Lynchburg, Virginia) is the Executive Director at the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber Of Commerce. She was getting interviewed by WDBJ7’s Alison Parker about tourism in her area of Virginia when a man opened fire. Alison and her cameraman, Adam Ward, were killed at the scene. Vicki was shot in the back and rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
