On All Hallows Eve, it’s no surprise that The Vampire Diaries kids headed to yet another ball, this time it was a “Heaven and Hell” theme. However, it was more of a babysitting date for Caroline (Candice King) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), who still couldn’t make any physical contact, and had to watch Heretics to makes sure they weren’t killing innocent kids. Normal date night, right?

Well, that was a bit uncomfortable. Former lovers, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, won the award for Choice TV: Liplock at the Aug. 16 Teen Choice Awards, thanks to loyal fans of ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ who think they’re the best kissing partners on TV.
They may have broken up off-screen in 2013, but Nina Dobrev, 26, and Ian Somerhalder, 36, have been lovers on The Vampire Diaries for quite some time. And their fans love to see them kiss, as evidenced by the duo winning Choice TV: Liplock at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 16. It was exciting, but we can’t ignore the fact that the win was totally awkward.

Move over Damon and Stefan Salvatore, we’re about to ship a whole new pair. Julie Plec teased that “nasty, nasty girls” were coming to season seven of The Vampire Diaries, and she wasn’t kidding. Chris Wood and Ian Somerhalder, who play Kai and Damon on The Vampire Diaries, recreated the epic Delena rain kiss for TVD fans to drool over until the end of time. As much as we love Damon and Elena together, Damon and Kai have some serious chemistry.

Despite those emotional final scenes, the cast and crew made sure to send Nina off with a surprise — a yummy surprise!

The day you’ve been dreading is here. The season six finale aired on May 14, and well – it was dark, and we said a final goodbye to Elena. So, how did she end her time on the show?
Saying that the season finale of The Vampire Diaries was emotional is quite the understatement.
