The Olympian opened up about her health journey during an appearance on ‘TODAY’ and admitted she ‘thought about quitting’ the sport.

The Olympian previously earned medals while competing on the U.S. women’s soccer team in 2012 and 2020.

The 17-year-old athlete tested positive for a prohibited drug in 2021, which ultimately banned her from competition for four years.
