Naomi Watts (born September 28, 1968 in Shoreham, Kent, England) is an English actress and film producer. Naomi made her film debut in the Australian drama For Love Alone in 1986. She then premiered in a number of Australian TV series including Hey Dad…!, Brides of Christ and Home and Away. After Naomi moved to America to pursue acting, she appeared in films such as Tank Girl and Dangerous Beauty. She made her big break in the thriller Mulholland Drive in 2001. Naomi received Academy Award and SAG noms in the Best Actress category for her role of Cristina Peck in 21 Grams. Naomi’s other films included King Kong, The International, Fair Game and J. Edgar. She received her second Academy Award nomination for her leading role in The Impossible. Most recently, Naomi starred in the suspense-horror film Shut In.

On September 26, 2016, the couple announced their separation after 11 years together. Naomi is very active as an ambassador for AIDS organizations.
