KayO Redd: Brother Waka Flocka Flame Mourns After Death Airs On TV

KayO Redd sadly committed suicide in Dec. 2013, but with ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ airing the tragedy on June 9 — and the family’s reaction to it — rapper brother Waka Flocka Flame opened up all over again with a series of emotional tweets while the episode aired.
As Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta fans could see on the June 9 episode, Waka Flocka Flame was absolutely crushed by his brother KayO Redd’s Dec. 2013 suicide. And while everyone tweeted support to Waka and prayers to KayO as the show aired last night, it turned out Waka was also watching, and reliving that unbelievably emotional moment when he lost his brother.

‘Love & Hip Hop’: Fans Mourn Waka Flocka’s Brother After New Episode

So sad! More than five months after Waka Flocka Flame’s brother KayO Redd committed suicide on Dec. 29, 2013, the ‘Round of Applause’ rapper opened up about the tragedy during an emotional new episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ on June 9. Waka’s fans were so moved by the rapper’s heartfelt words that they took to Twitter to mourn KayO.
Waka Flocka Flame is still recovering after his younger brother and aspiring rapper KayO Redd’s shocking suicide, and he released some of his emotions during tonight’s episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. Thankfully, Waka has the support of all of his loving fans, who helped make the phrase “Aww Waka” trend on Twitter!

Waka Flocka Flame’s Brother KayO Redd: Police Suspect Suicide — Report

Though it was initially suspected that Waka Flocka Flame’s brother KayO Redd may have been shot by another party, it has been revealed by TMZ that ‘all signs point to suicide,’ and that an autopsy will be conducted Dec. 30 to confirm.
KayO Redd, an aspiring rapper following in his elder brother Waka Flocka Flame’s footsteps, was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Dec. 29, according to TMZ. This news is especially heartbreaking as it comes on the heels of a tribute that Waka Flocka posted earlier today which featured KayO’s music.
