Kate Gosselin (born Katie Irene Kreider March 28, 1975 in Philadelphia, PA) is an American reality TV star. Kate rose to prominence as the mother of sextuplets and twins, and the wife of Jon Gosselin (the kids’ father), on the TLC show Jon & Kate Plus Eight, which began airing in 2007. Prior to her reality TV career, Kate was a labor and delivery nurse at a Reading, PA hospital. Following the birth of the sextuplets (they already had the twins), the family was featured on NBC’s Home Delivery. The 2005 special showed the family renovating their home to accommodate the kids. They were featured on two more specials on Discovery Health: Surviving Sextuplets and Twins, in 2005, and Sextuplets and Twins: One Year Later in 2006. Their reality show Jon & Kate Plus Eight, which documented their lives with the kids, began in 2007 and ran until 2009, when Jon and Kate divorced. Kate then got her own show, Kate Plus 8, which ran until 2011. Kate’s appeared on various reality shows since then, like Dancing With The Stars, Celebrity Wife Swap, and Celebrity Apprentice. She’s also written four books: Multiple Bless8ings, Eight Little Faces, I Just Want You to Know, and Love Is in the Mix.

Personal Life:
Kate met Jon Gosselin in 1997; they were married on June 12, 1999. On October 8, 2000, she gave birth to twin girls Cara and Madelyn. The sextuplets (sons Aaden, Collin, and Joel, and daughters Leah, Alexis, and Hannah), were born on May 10, 2004.
