Jennette McCurdy (born Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy in Long Beach, California on June 26, 1992) is an American actress and pop-country singer. Jennette is best known for her supporting role as Sam Puckett on Nickelodeon’s iCarly. Her guest appearances include Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 and True Jackson VP. She has also appeared in major roles in the TV movies Best Player, the iCarly movies, and Fred: The Movie. Jennette has released several pop-country singles since 2008, including “So Close,” “Stronger,” and “Not That Far Away.” She released a self-titled country album with Capitol Records Nashville, but left the label in 2012. She will be reprising her iCarly role in the upcoming Nickelodeon series, Sam & Cat, alongside Victorious star, Ariana Grande.
