Guy Ritchie (born Guy Stuart Ritchie in Hatfield, Hertfordshire on September 10, 1968) is an English filmmaker. After watching Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Guy realized he wanted to make films. Once he had that revelation, Guy dropped out of high school and started with entry-level positions in the film industry in the mid 1990s. He eventually went from the bottom and started directing commercials. Guy made his first film, a 20 minute short in 1995. His most successful box office films were Sherlock Holmes (2009) and the sequel, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011).

Guy Ritchie is currently married to his wife, Jacqui Ainsley. The two have been together since 2010 and have three kids together. Guy and Jacqui recently tied the knot on July 30, 2015. Before Jacqui, Guy was married to Madonna for eight years (2000-2008) and they had one biological son together, Rocco John Ritchie and they adopted a Malawian baby boy named David in 2006.
