Some of our favorite doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial started to lose their cool on the Nov. 7 episode of Grey’s Anatomy: Ben (Jason George) began to notice that Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is not OK, and Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Meredith’s (Ellen Pompeo) friendship reached an all-time low.

Plus: Meredith had her say with Cristina, and Arizona found herself in a(nother) awkward situation!

The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial just continue to pile on the drama! On the Oct. 24 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Alex (Justin Chambers) finally braved his daddy issues, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Cristina (Sandra Oh) continued down their rocky path, and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) started to move on with her life!

It’s been more than three years since Katherine Heigl scrubbed in on Grey’s Anatomy — her final episode aired Jan. 21, 2010 — but her departure remains a touchy subject. In a new interview with the New York Post, show star Ellen Pompeo gets very candid about the reasons behind Katherine’s exit, which she attributes to “hurt feelings, combined with instant success and huge paychecks started things spinning out of control.”

With the hospital finally revamped and moving in a positive direction, the doctors were excited about their new roles as owners of the hospital — but can they handle the pressure?

One of the hospital’s very own finds himself in a new position of power after a sudden turn of events.
After Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Cristina (Sandra Oh), Callie (Sara Ramirez), Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) quit Seattle Grace Mercy West, the hospital was full of chaos in the Feb. 21 episode of Grey’s Anatomy. But much to everyone’s surprise, Pegasus still wanted to buy the hospital — now for a very different reason.

The rebels resort to desperate measures to save the hospital; but are they in way over their heads?
In order to save Seattle Grace Mercy West, Callie (Sara Ramirez) tried to convince Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Cristina (Sandra Oh), and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) to pool their money together and buy the hospital on the Feb. 14 episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Unfortunately for Callie, not everyone was on board with the idea.

This hospital is facing an uncertain future — but it wasn’t all bad news this week: Meredith felt her baby kick for the first time!
The doctors at Seattle Grace Mercy West were forced to comply with new hospital procedures on the Jan. 31 episode of Grey’s Anatomy. While Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Bailey (Chandra Wilson), and the Chief (James Pickens Jr.) had to take a class on new techniques, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and April (Sarah Drew) tried to come up with a new budget cuts plan that would save the ER.

Plus, Meredith & Derek finally loop their friends in on the baby news!
A month after Adele’s (Loretta Devine) death, the doctors’ lawsuit against the hospital was finally over on the Jan. 17 episode of Grey’s Anatomy. The judge found the hospital “negligent” for choosing an airline that had a history of mechanical problems and awarded Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), Cristina (Sandra Oh), and Callie (Sara Ramirez) $15 million — each!

Plus, Arizona finally returns to work at the hospital!
On the Nov. 29 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Owen (Kevin McKidd) discovered that the airline the hospital used for the crash had a known history of mechanical problems — and even worse, Owen unknowingly signed off on it. After learning that the crash was his own fault, Owen wondered why he hadn’t been fired by the board. He quickly realized that the board was hoping that because he was married to one of the plane crash victims, the case would be thrown out.

In a flashback episode, we learned what exactly happened after the plane crash.
After the Grey’s Anatomy season premiere, viewers still had plenty of questions about the plane crash, and thankfully, most of those holes were filled on the Oct. 4 episode, as we learned exactly what happened when the doctors were found. After being rescued and taken to a nearby hospital, the doctors were forced to get back on a plane to Seattle — and fortunately, they were sedated this time.

Were the writers tired of coming up with new dialogue and scenes, so they just stole from earlier seasons?
The latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy starts with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) wondering what if things had been different. What if she had a mother who was alive and a father who cared? Conveniently, she fell asleep and dreamed of this alternate reality, where everything had changed– and yet, ultimately was still the same. But while I appreciated the idea that these characters were always set for a certain path no matter what — the execution was incredibly sloppy.

Dr. Catherine Avery showed up at Seattle Grace to perform the very interesting surgery and I thought for sure she and Mark made a connection!
Grey’s Anatomy reached a new high (or low) with their big patient case this week — a man who had his penis removed due to cancer and needed a new one. But at least there was only one instance of Derek (Patrick Dempsey) sucking.

Meanwhile, the residents get their first lead surgeries, which ends with Derek and Meredith fighting in the O.R.!
