Blake Lively, 27, told Allure’s May 2015 issue that playing Serena van der Woodsen on the CW hit dramedy Gossip Girl felt “personally compromising,” and stopped being fun after awhile. Though the series’ epic finale aired three years ago, Blake is now expressing her true feelings about playing Serena.

The use of the song ‘You’ve Got The Love’ in the final scene of ‘Gossip Girl’s’ series finale reminded me of the final scene of ‘Sex and the City’ because they used the very same song!
Not only did Gossip Girl feel like a continuation of Sex and the City in the respect that both series told a romantic story in New York City, but the series finale on Dec. 17 paid homage to the more grown-up series that came before it!

During the epic series finale of ‘Gossip Girl,’ through the cheers, tears and jaw-dropping moments, we got a glimpse at Chuck and Blair’s future child — and he’s just as preppy adorable as we could have hoped!
Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) tied the knot during the series finale of CW’s hit series Gossip Girl on Dec. 17. But the real revelation came during the ending flash-forward when we met their son Henry — dressed in his prep school best, naturally. He looked like the spitting image of both parents!
The highly-anticipated finale of the hit television series, ‘Gossip Girl,’ left viewers on the edges of their seats with not one, but two weddings — and a baby! However it was the very different dresses that really got us excited. VOTE for your fave.
Back in October, we were able to get a sneak peak at the unique wedding gowns of Blair and Serena, played by Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, leading us to believe there would be back-to-back weddings — however, that wasn’t the case. Blair and Chuck, (played by Ed Westwick), tied the knot first while Serena and Dan, (played by Penn Badgley), followed in their footsteps five years later.

Few TV shows are able to maintain their quality throughout their runs, Gossip Girl included, so all I really wanted from the Dec. 17 series finale was for our favorite Upper East Siders to find their happy endings — and they did! Not only was the omnipotent blogger’s identity finally revealed (read on for that spoiler), but the show’s two main couples tied the knot in character-appropriate ceremonies.
The ‘Gossip Girl’ star finally tied the knot with boyfriend Chuck December 17, and did do in a beautiful upsweep complete with a silver crown. What do you think of the look? Sound off below!
Fans everywhere rejoiced when Blair Waldorf married longtime love, Chuck Bass in the show’s finale. The beautiful bride was a vision in a blue silver sparkly dress with a matching bejeweled tiara. Although Blair had almost no time to get ready, her intricate updo was sophisticated and romantic for their Central Park nuptials.
