9-year-old Christina Taylor-Green had just been elected to the student council and shown an interest in politics from a young age when she accompanied a neighbor to congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ “Congress on Your Corner” event on Jan. 8. While there she became one of the now six people killed, and 14 injured, in a gun rampage targeting Gabrielle.
