Elizabeth has been battling breast cancer since 2004 but her doctors announced they’ve decided to stop all treatment. She took to her Facebook page to talk about what’s gotten her through this difficult time.
Elizabeth Edwards has been a symbol of strength during her six-year battle with breast cancer, but unfortunately it appears she is losing her fight. According to an official statement provided to NBC News, Dec.6, Elizabeth is reportedly no longer responding to treatment and “any further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive.” The 61-year-old mother-of-three, who lost her eldest son Wade in a 1996 car accident, is said to be at home resting with “family and friends.” Family, which includes her estranged husband and former Presidential candidate John Edwards.
