You may know Drake as Drizzy or Champagne Papi, but many of us remember the rapper as Wheelchair Jimmy. When he was 14, Drake landed a role on ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation.’ However, after 145 episodes, his character was gone — and now he’s explaining what happened.
Before Drake was Drake, he was actor Aubrey Graham, a star on Degrassi: The Next Generation. He joined the show in 2001 and in a new interview he explained that he was already making music. Yes, at age 14. Now 19, he remembers what happened on set, why we never found out what happened with Jimmy and Trina, and well, why he never returned.

On June 4, millions of hearts were broken as it was announced that Degrassi: The Next Generation would officially wrap in July, after 14 drama-filled years. Of course, during that time the show saw its fair share of major guest stars– and even created some superstars of its own in the process: Drake and Nina Dobrev, we’re looking at you! We have EXCLUSIVE info as to whether we can expect to see those two, or some of the other stars from episodes past before the series wraps for good!
It sounds like things are getting hot on the winter finale of ‘Degrassi’ — but not in the way you think. Cristine Prosperi, who plays Imogen, chatted exclusively with HollywoodLife.com before tonight’s winter finale, and admitted that Imogen and Jack’s relationship is still not perfect!

If there is, it certainly wasn’t featured on Degrassi’s April 15 episode, which highlighted three of the school’s most dysfunctional pairings. Holly J. (Charlotte Arnold) ended things with Sav (Raymond Ablack); K.C. (Sam Earle) and Jenna (Jessica Tyler) fought about their unborn child; and Clare (Aislinn Paul) decided she and Eli (Munro Chambers) needed a break… you know, so she wouldn’t end up dead like his last girlfriend.
