Calum Hood (born Calum Thomas Hood on January 25, 1996 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian musician and current bassist/vocalist in the band 5 Seconds of Summer. The band first became popular after they were discovered by Louis Tomlinson, which led to the band opening for One Direction during the Take Me Home tour in 2013. He started the band with friends Michael Clifford and Luke Hemmings while they were attending Norwest Christian College. Ashton Irwin joined as drummer later on in 2008.
