Tiger Woods (born Eldrick Tont Woods on December 30, 1975 in Cypress, California) is an American professional golfer. Tiger turned pro in 1996 and was ranked number one in the world in June 1997. He remained at the top of his game for years. After issues surfaced in his personal life, he took a break from golfing and dropped to number 58 in the rankings in November 2011. He made a small comeback when he won the Chevron World Challenge in December 2011. In February 2013 he was ranked number 2 in the world after winning the Farmers Insurance Open for the seventh time. Throughout his career Tiger has broken a tremendous amount of golf records and has been the world number one for the most consecutive weeks and for the greatest total number of weeks of any other golfer. He has won 16 World Golf Championships.

Personal Life:
Tiger married Swedish former model Elin Nordegren on Oct. 5, 2004. They had two children together. Their daughter, Sam Alexis Woods, was born on June 18, 2007, and their son, Charlie Axel Woods, was born on Feb. 8, 2009. In November 2009, Tiger was accused of having an affair with New York City nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel. In December of that year he admitted “transgressions” and made a public apology. Over a dozen women came forward after his apology, claiming to have had affairs with Tiger. On Dec. 11, 2009 he admitted to infidelity again, and also announced he would be taking “an indefinite break from pro golf.” As a result, Tiger lost numerous sponsorships and other business deals. On Feb. 19, 2010, he announced that he had been in a 45 day therapy program and later in March 2010 he revealed he would be returning to golf at the 2010 Masters Tournament. Tiger and Elin divorced on Aug. 23, 2010. Tiger started dating Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn in 2013. The couple announced their split in May 2015.
