Ryan appeared in the first three Jackass movies and, post-Jackass, on the Viva La Bam television show. His more conventional roles includes an appearance on Law & Order: SVU, Crank Yankers, and in movies like Criminal Mischief, Street Dreams and Close-Up. In 2006 and 2008, Ryan and Bam participated in the Gumball 3000 road race. Ryan died on June 20, 2011. He and Zachary Hartwell, a Jackass production assistant, were killed when Ryan’s Porsche 9111 flew off the road and hit a tree in West Goshen Township in Pennsylvania.
