‘Fuller House’ Pays Homage To The Original & Breaks The Fourth Wall In The Best Ways

From the cast literally looking into the camera and referencing their other jobs to side by side stills of ‘Full House,’ one thing the Netflix reboot gets right is the references to the original.
While the opening credits features multiple side-by-sides of the Fuller House cast then and now, the adults leave town and the three girls are left on their own — sort of. During the 13 episodes, there are multiple callbacks to those who watched every single episode ever of Full House — like me. So I’m here to give you the best part of the reboot: all the parts that referenced back to the show that we actually liked.

‘Fuller House’ Full-Length Trailer Released: DJ & Stephanie Drunk Dial Michelle — Watch

Nostalgia alert! Even though the Olsen twins wouldn’t commit to playing Michelle on ‘Fuller House,’ she’s still going to be a part of the show! Not only that, she’s going to be the victim of a drunk dialing prank by her older sisters and we’ve got the full trailer for you to see!
So adorbs! We’ve been waiting to see what kind of trouble D.J.and Stephanie Tanner get into as adults on the new Fuller House, and now we’re getting a sneak peek at Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber as pal Kimmy Gibbler having some drunken dialing fun at little sister Michelle Tanner’s expense. ‘Fuller House’ is underway, but when we found out that DJ was a widow, we immediately wondered — was she married to Steve? Finally, we have the answer!
DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) is a single mom, raising her two children and expecting another in the new spinoff Fuller House. Of course, Full House ended with DJ reuniting on prom night with Steve (Scott Weinger), so many assumed they were the ones who got married and he died — but that’s actually NOT THE CASE.
