Brett Favre

Bio:
Brett Favre (born Brett Lorenzo Favre on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi) is a former American football quarterback. Brett began his football career at the Hancock North Central High School, playing multiple positions before settling on quarterback. He enrolled at Southern Mississippi University, developing his skills while leading the school to some amazing victories. The Atlanta Falcons picked Brett in the 1991 NFL Draft. After his poor showing in Atlanta, the Falcons traded Brett to the Green Bay Packers in 1992. In 1993, Brett helped the Packers make the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. From there, Brett would lead his team to two NFC Championships and a Super Bowl XXXI victory. He also set the record for Most Pass Completions (6,300) most Pass Attempts (10,169) Most Starts (298) and he’s tied with Peyton Manning for Most Wins (186.) In early 2008, Brett announced his retirement from football, but later withdrew his retirement. The Packers then traded him to the New York Jets. He was released from his contract in 2009, after informing the jets he was retiring again. However, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings and played with the team until his final retirement in 2010.

Personal Life:
Brett married Deanna Tynes in 1996. They have two daughters together, Brittany and Breleigh. In 1996, Brett was temporarily banned by the NFL for drinking alcohol after he admitted an addiction to Vicodin. In 2010, the NFL investigated Brett for allegedly leaving inappropriate voice messages and sexts to Jets Gameday Host Jenn Sterger. Evidence failed to prove that Brett sent the inappropriate material but he was fined $50,000 for failing to cooperate with the investigation.
