Zooey Deschanel & Jonathan Scott walking together — Surprise, surprise! ‘New Girl’ star Zooey Deschanel and ‘Property Brothers’ star Jonathan Scott are dating, and HollywoodLife was the first outlet to break the news on Sept. 13, 2019! On that same day, Zooey and Jonathan made their public debut as a couple in EXCLUSIVE photos obtained by HollywoodLife. The duo held hands and looked in love as they strolled down a sidewalk in Silver Lake, CA.

Zooey and Jonathan’s meet-cute happened while filming James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment in Aug. 2019, according to our source! They also filmed the segment with Zooey’s sister, Emily Deschanel, and Jonathan’s brother, Drew Scott. However, Zooey and Jonathan ‘started out as friends,’ our source told us.

News of this romance arrived after Zooey announced her split from film producer Jacob Pechenik on Sept. 6, 2019, following their wedding in June 2015. However, a source confirmed with HollywoodLife that the former couple had already been split for “several months.” In a statement issued through their rep, Zooey and Jacob explained that they are “better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners.”
