Zayn Malik is an English singer and songwriter born on January 12, 1993. When Zayn was a teenager, he auditioned for the British talent show, ‘The X Factor’, in 2010 as a solo artist. Although he was eliminated in the competition, he was brought back with four other young, talented singers — Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Laim Payne — to form the now-infamous boy band, One Direction. The group rose to worldwide stardom in a short amount of time; however, in 2015, the group decided to go their separate ways, with Zayn being the first to leave. Each member of the boy band went off to start their own solo careers. Zayn signed a contract with RCA records after he first left the group in March of 2015.He famously dated Perrie Edwards of the girl group Little Mix, then after their engagement ended, he moved on to model Gigi Hadid. Zayn and Gigi had their first child together in 2020, but split the following year.
