The ‘Yellowstone’ universe is getting even bigger. The new prequel series ‘1923’ will premiere on December 18 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. The series will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west and the Duttons who call it home.
Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are leading the way as Jacob and Cara Dutton. The cast also includes Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, and more.
The show was created by Taylor Sheridan, the mind behind TV’s mega-hit ‘Yellowstone.’ The series was initially called ‘1932’ but was later changed to ‘1923.’ The show is the latest addition to Taylor’s expanding slate on Paramount+, which in addition to ‘1883’ and ‘Mayor of Kingstown,’ ‘Tulsa King,’ and more.
