Louise Turpin and her husband David Turpin were arrested in Jan. 2018 for their alleged child abuse to 12 of their 13 children. The parents were charged with counts of torture, child abuse, abuse of adults, and false imprisonment. Louise and David pleaded guilty in Feb. 2019, and will hear their sentencing on April 19, 2019. The parents could face from 25 years to life in prison. Their daughter, Jordan, called the police in Jan. 2018 after planning her escape for two years. She fled her family home from her bedroom window, and she described the alleged torture she and her siblings suffered in a 911 phone call. ‘Ok, I live in a family of 15 people and my parents are abusive,” Jordan said to the dispatcher on the call. “They abuse us and my two little sisters right now are chained up… There’s 13 kids and then a mother and father.’ Jordan continued, ‘Sometimes we live in filth and sometimes I wake up and I can’t breathe, because how dirty the house is.’ See photos related to the Turpin family in the slides ahead.
