Las Vegas saw the cream of America?s country music stars and a sprinkling of Hollywood names arrive on the red carpet last night for this year?s Academy of Country Music Awards. Undoubted stars of the evening were Nicole Kidman and country music star husband Keith Urban. ?Hannah Montana? star Miley Cyrus was also the subject of attention, sporting a one-shouldered grey Monique Lhuillier dress as she arrived on the arm of her famous father and country music legend, Billy Ray Cyrus. American Idol 2005 winner Carrie Underwood looked stunning in a pink one-shouldered gown as she arrived to later pick up two awards last night: Top Female Vocalist and the prestigious Entertainer Of The Year Award, the first female to do so since the Dixie Chicks in 2000 and the first person to win it other than Kenny Chesney over the last five years. Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for ?Fearless? and, in a nod to America?s fast-changing attitude towards race and culture, Jamie Foxx introduced a performance by George Strait.
