Trina was born Katrina Laverne Taylor on December 3, 1974 in Miami, Florida. While studying to pursue real estate, Trina ended up appearing on one of Trick Daddy’s singles, which was the beginning of her music career. From there, she released her solo debut album “Da Baddest B****” in 2000, which put her on the map. She later released the hit tracks “No Panties” and “B R Right” featuring Ludacris, in addition to appearing on Kelly Rowland’s “Here We Go.”

For years, Trina has been embroiled in a feud with Philadelphia native Khia. The pair have exchanged barbs via diss tracks for nearly two decades, dating back to Khia’s claim that she wrote Trina’s first big hit.
