The two met while starring on Bravo’s ‘Vanderpump Rules’ working at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant. It was coworker Kristin Doute who set them up and at first things didn’t go so well. In an interview with Bravo Tom said “The very first night there was no spark. But the second night I was introduced to her and given a little backstory, that’s when it clicked.” In season three Tom got Katie a dog to put off proposing to her. Innseason four Katie gave Tom an ultimatum and he finally proposed. They finally wed in a wooded Northern California ceremony in August of 2016 with the cast in attendance and Lisa Vanderpump officiating. In July of 2019 Lance Bass made the claim that the two weren’t legally married due to a paperwork snafu and hinted that it would be part of a season eight Vanderpump Rules storyline.
