Stephen “tWitch” Boss, DJ for The Ellen Show, died at 40 on December 13, 2022, by suicide. After his wife found he had left home without his car, she reported it to police. He was found dead by a self-inflicted gunshot at a local hotel not long after. tWitch was beloved as the D.J. on the Ellen show. He started his run on the series in 2014 and was there until the last episode in 2022. He would even take on guest hosting and was promoted to an Executive Producer in 2020. He is survived by his wife Allison Holker, whom he married in 2013. The couple had 3 kids.
In an interview with People, published in January 2025, ahead of the release of her memoir, “This Far,” in February, 36-year-old widow Allison revealed that she realized the extent of her late husband’s struggles while cleaning out his closet and choosing an outfit for his funeral, when she discovered drugs hidden in his closet and journal entries in which he alluded to being sexually abused as a child by a male.
