                                                                                                          ‘Six Feet Under’ is coming to Netflix, inviting a whole new generation of viewers to meet the Fisher family. Take a look at the beloved cast then and now.

                                                                                                          ‘Six Feet Under’ premiered on June 3, 2001, and became a huge hit for HBO. The series ran for 5 seasons and won a number of awards, including 9 Emmys and 3 Golden Globes. The show revolved around the Fisher family, who run the Fisher & Sons Funeral Home in Los Angeles. Nate and David take over the funeral home after their father dies. ‘Six Feet Under’ came to an end in 2005 with a perfect series finale, but is about to be resurrected, so to speak, with the help of Netflix. 

                                                                                                          A new syndication deal between HBO and Netflix brings a handful of the cable networks best shows to the streamer for the first time. Shows like ‘Ballers’, ‘Insecure’, and ‘Six Feet Under’ will be available to an entirely new audience for the first time. As it’s been 20 years since the show premiered, the stars of the show have gone on to do a lot since then. 

                                                                                                          Liek Peter Krause who played Nate Fisher, the eldest Fisher child. After ‘Six Feet Under,’ Peter went on to star as Adam Braverman on ‘Parenthood.’ The series ran for 6 seasons on NBC.                                                                                                           Michael C. Hall starred as David Fisher, the middle Fisher child. A year after ‘Six Feet Under’ ended, Michael was cast as Dexter Morgan in the Showtime series ‘Dexter.’ The show ran for 8 seasons and won a Golden Globe in 2010 for his performance. He returned for a ‘Dexter’ revival, which premiered in 2021. In addition to ‘Dexter,’ Michael also played JFK in an episode of ‘The Crown’ in season 2. 

                                                                                                          Michael married his ‘Dexter’ co-star Jennifer Carpenter in 2008. They divorced in 2011 but remain friends. Michael is currently married to Morgan Macgregor. 

                                                                                                          The actor began undergoing treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2008. In 2010, he was fully in remission.

                                                                                                          Lauren Ambrose starred as rebellious Claire Fisher, the youngest Fisher child. After ‘Six Feet Under,’ Lauren made her Broadway debut in the revival of ‘Awake and Sing!’ in 2006. She played Eliza Doolittle in the 2018 ‘My Fair Lady’ revival, which earned her a Tony nomination. 

                                                                                                          Lauren’s latest project was the Apple TV+ series ‘Servant,’ which ran for 4 seasons. Once it ended, she joined the cast of ‘Yellowjackets’ on Showtime.

                                                                                                          Frances Conroy starred as Ruth Fisher, the matriarch of the Fisher family. Frances became widely known for her roles in the ‘American Horror Story’ universe, starting in 2011. She has appeared in 7 seasons of the show and will return for the upcoming eighth season, ‘American Horror Story: Double Feature.’ She also starred in the Oscar-winning film ‘Joker,’ playing Joker’s mother.

Two years after ‘Six Feet Under’ ended, Freddy was cast as Gio on ‘Ugly Betty.’ He also starred in the first two seasons of ‘The Night Shift.’ He became a series regular on the CBS drama ‘Bull’ in 2016, playing Benny Colón. He revealed in May 2021 that he would not be returning for season 6.

She recently starred as Gretchen Klein in the Amazon Prime Video series ‘The Wilds,’ which enjoyed two seasons before sadly being cancelled.
