In addition to his career, he has also found success in love. He recently popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Lauren Silverman after 13 years of courtship. The two initially met as friends when she was married to Andrew Silverman. Over the years, Simon and Lauren began having an affair. They came public with their relationship in 2013 and Lauren gave birth to their son Eric Cowell on February 14, 2014.
