Shawn Mendes was born on August 8, 1998 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Shawn rose to fame singing a cover of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” on the new-defunct social media app Vine. His cover got much attention, and people flocked to Shawn’s account for more singing videos. Shawn was part of the MAGCON tour – the Meet and Greet Convention – along with other big-name Viners at the time such as Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier. Shawn’s first album, “Handwritten,” dropped in 2015. His second album, “Illuminate,” was released in 2016, and his third album, his self-titled album, was released in 2018. Shawn toured on Jingle Ball in 2014, 2015, and 2018 and continues to enjoy a successful music career.
