                                                                                                          Not very many artists are world-renowned by a single name but ask anyone who watched TV in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. They for sure know the name Raven and you can check out photos of her, here.

                                                                                                          Raven-Symoné has appeared in some of the most iconic TV shows of all time, including her own Disney Channel series, ‘That’s So Raven,’ which ran from 2003 to 2007. She currently stars in the spinoff series ‘Raven’s Home.’ She notably starred in Disney Channel Original Movies like ‘Zenon’ and ‘The Cheetah Girls’ films. Before her Disney Channel days, she got her start as Olivia Kendall on ‘The Cosby Show.’

                                                                                                          As she grew up in the industry, she added titles like singer, producer, and talk show host to her resume, as well as out and proud activist in the LGBTQ community. From her big beginnings to the spotlight, to her recent surprise wedding to Miranda Maday, here are highlights over the years of Raven’s exciting life.

                                                                                                          Raven is probably best known by those who grew up in the 80s as Olivia Kendall, the precious step-granddaughter of title star Bill Cosby, in ‘The Cosby Show.’ From 1989 to 1992, she kept the Huxtable family on their toes with her adorable antics.

                                                                                                          While ‘The Cosby Show’ would go on to win only 6 Emmys during its run, it was nominated countless more times. Raven attended the International Emmy Awards in 1991 at just 5 years old.

                                                                                                          In 1993, one year after ‘The Cosby Show’ ended, Raven-Symoné landed the role of Nicole Lee in ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.’ She made her debut in the first episode of the show’s second season, and remained until the series finale in 1997.

                                                                                                          Coming into her own, Raven-Symone admitted in an interview with ‘Variety’ that she didn’t feel comfortable in her own skin until she was in her late 20s. But once she did, everything changed. ‘While it was a selfish thing for me to keep my secret to myself for as long as I did, I am very happy that I’m out, if only to help someone else feel comfortable,’ Raven-Symoné told ‘Variety.’
