Patrick Swayze: A Life In Photos — Patrick Swayze will always be remembered. The American actor, dancer, and singer was born August 18, 1952 in Houston, Texas and leaped into acting after training as a dancer in New York. His major roles spanned genres, and included hits like ‘Dirty Dancing’ (1987), the thriller film ‘Ghost’ (1990), the road comedy film ‘To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar’ (1995), ‘Road House’ (1989), and ‘Point Break’ (1991). Among his accolades were three Golden Globe nominations, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1997, and the title of People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ in 1991.

The actor passed away in 2009 from pancreatic cancer. He was 57.
