Pat Benatar is one of the unmistakable voices of a generation, with her music blasting through the radios of ’80s kids. The Brooklyn-born, Long Island-raised singer is best known for her hits “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”, “Love Is A Battlefield”, “Shadows of the Night”, “Invincible”, “We Belong”, “Sex As A Weapon”, and “All Fired Up”.
She released eleven albums over twenty-five years, from 1979’s debut, ‘In the Heat of the Night,’ to 2003’s ‘Go.’ Her must successful albums are 1980’s ‘Crimes of Passion’ and the chart-topping ‘Precious,’ released in 1981. Though Pat’s last major charting single was in 1983, she continued to write, record, and perform music in the decades that followed.
Since 1982, Pat has been married to Neil Giraldo, the lead guitarist of her band. The two have two kids together: daughters Hana and Haley.
