Orlando Bloom Then & Now: Photos — Actor Orlando Bloom, 45, will always be lauded for his role as the beloved Legolas in the ‘Lord of the Ring’s franchise. But the English actor has been in the business since 1994, when he first landed a role in the TV show ‘Casualty’. Since then, he’s risen through the ranks to global success, landing the role of a lifetime as the elven archer that would eventually make him a household name in 1999.

Ever since then, he’s appeared in dramas like ‘Black Hawk Down’ and ‘Troy’. He scored another high-profile role when he debuted as Will Turner in Disney’s blockbuster ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’, which debuted in 2003. In the late 2010s, he reprised his role as Legolas in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ prequel trilogy, ‘The Hobbit’.
