The franchise has one championship (1979) under its belt since its inception in 1967. The team initially started out as the Seattle SuperSonics — which drafted second overall in 2007 — from 1967-2008. Under the SuperSonics name, the team qualified for the NBA playoffs 22 times, won their division six times, advanced to three NBA Finals, and, as mentioned above, won the 1979 NBA Championship. In ’08, the franchise moved to Oklahoma and changed its identity. OKC has seen the likes of top NBA stars including: Russell Westbrook, Paul George, James Harden, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul.
