Well, if you aren’t a huge sports fan, let’s get you a little more acquainted with the legendary Nick Diaz.
He is a former mixed martial artist and promoter who is even considered a pioneer for the extreme combat sport. And yes, his resume is indeed extreme!
Since 2001, Diaz has been competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as well as PRIDE, Strikeforce, EliteXC, World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), DREAM, and Shooto.
During his time at UFC, the superstar middleweight has achieved a total of 26 wins and has only succumbed to 9 losses. One of his most impressive wins is considered his match against Takanori “The Fireball Kid” Gomi. Defeating one of the best lightweight champions in the world was certainly a turning point in Diaz’s underdog career.
While he is no longer professionally fighting himself, he has taken a liking to teaching the sport to others and currently works at Pacific Coast Martial Arts in Stockton, California.
