Morris Chestnut is a well-known actor who has joined ‘The Resident’ for season 3. He’ll play a new doctor named Barrett Cain who comes to Chastain. The show also stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Jane Leeves, Bruce Greenwood, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and more. Season 3 premieres Sept. 24 on FOX. Prior to ‘The Resident,’ Morris starred alongside Jennifer Carpenter in the NBC series ‘The Enemy Within.’ He first rose to fame in the 1991 film ‘Boyz N The Hood.’ Morris is also known for his roles on ‘Nurse Jackie,’ ‘Rosewood,’ ‘Goliath,’ and so many more. He played Beau in the ‘Being Mary Jane’ movie alongside Gabrielle Union. Other notable movies include ‘Girls Trip,’ ‘When The Bough Breaks,’ and ‘The Best Man Holiday.’ Morris has been happily married to Pam Bryce-Chestnut since 1995.
