Monica Lewinsky At The ‘Vanity Fair’ Oscars After-Party — Monica Lewinsky is famously known as the former White House intern who confessed to having an affair with former President Bill Clinton between 1995 and 1997 (the 42nd president was impeached in 1998). Although Clinton initially denied their sexual history in that infamous televised speech, the former POTUS later admitted that he ‘did have a relationship with Miss Lewinsky that was not appropriate.’ Lewinsky claimed that she engaged in nine sexual acts with the POTUS, but never intercourse (Clinton was married to Hillary Clinton, and still is to this day).

The Clinton-Lewinsky scandal made Monica a subject of national mockery throughout the late 90s and 2000s, which propelled her to become an advocate against cyber bullying and public shaming by delivering speeches and even becoming an ambassador and strategic advisor for the Bystander Revolution in 2015.

Lewinsky didn’t continue a career in politics after the fallout of the scandal, and she began selling a handbag line in 1999. She even tried her hand at hosting a reality television show, ‘Mr. Personality,’ in 2003. She eventually withdrew from the public by 2005, so she opted to instead study social psychology at the London School of Economics and earn her Master of Science degree.
