Michael J. Fox: Then & Now — Michael J. Fox, born Michael Andrew Fox in Edmonton, Alberta on June 9, 1961) is an actor whose break-out role was on NBC’s ‘Family Ties’ and in the ‘Back To The Future’ film series. As a teen on ‘Family Ties’, he played Alex P. Keaton, the conservative teen son of two hippies. He won three Emmys and a Golden Globe for the role. Next, Michael made it big with the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy. From 1996 to 2002, he starred on the sitcom ‘Spin City’.

The actor was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, and created The Michael J. Fox Foundation to try and find a cure. Michael married wife Tracy Pollan in 1988, and they have four children: Sam, Aquinnah, Schuyler, and Esmé.
