The 23-year-old is the son of Oscar winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. and his former wife of 22 years, Sarah Kapfer. Mason was born and raised in Los Angeles, attending the private Windward High School before going on to college at NYC’s Tisch School for the Arts. But Mason decided that he wanted to be a full-time actor and left to pursue his career before graduating.

Mason landed a role on HBO’s ‘Ballers’ and went on to be cast in the Olivia Wilde directed film ‘Booksmart.’ He then scored roles in two Hulu series, 2020’s comedy ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,’ and Mason plays Andrew on Hulu’s ‘Love, Victor.’ It was announced on Sept. 10, 2020 that Mason had been cast in the highly anticipated ‘Scream 5,’ the fifth movie in the horror franchise that began in 1996. He has a long and promising career ahead of him.
