Marlon Brando — Marlon Brando – born April 3, 1924, died July 1, 2004 – is considered one of the most renowned American actors in Hollywood’s history. During his legendary career, Brando picked up numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards for Best Actor (for ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ and ‘The Godfather’.) Rising to fame in the 1950s, Brando became the face for youthful rebellion as the star of ‘The Wild One.’ He would appear in a handful of iconic and celebrated films, like ‘Julius Caesar,’ ‘Vivia Zapata!’, ‘Apocalypse Now,’ and ‘Superman.’ His work on ‘The Godfather’ is considered his finest performance, and established him as one of the finest actors of his and any generation. Though his later work failed to replicate that success and acclaim, Brando remained a presence in Hollywood. He passed away in 2004 at age 80, due to pulmonary fibrosis. He had been dealing with many health problems, which he hid from the world due to his seclusive nature.
