Mark Zuckerberg is the man known around the world as the co-founder of Facebook. As chairman, CEO, and controlling shareholder, he has effectively led the social media platform to its powerhouse state in less than 20 years.
Because of the success of Facebook, he is one of the top billionaires under 40 in the world and as of 2007, at age 23, he was the world’s youngest self-made billionaire.. A programming prodigy, Mark launched FB while still at school in Harvard, and the story of his rise to fame from there is so legendary, a movie based on the founding year, The Social Network, was made in 2010.
But with great powers comes great responsibility. Here, we can see Mark in front of a House Financial Services Committee hearing on Capitol Hill in October 2019. This was a year after he was called to testify before the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation regarding the usage of personal data by Facebook in relation to the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data breach.
