Madonna isn’t just one of the biggest pop stars of all time, she’s also a devoted mom! The Material Girl has always doted on her children and shown her fans that she can tackle being a chart-topping artist and parent at the same time.

Madonna has six children. Her eldest is daughter Lourdes Leon, whom she welcomed in October 1996. Then, she has a son named Rocco, with whom she shares with ex-husband Guy Ritchie. Madonna is also the mother to four adopted children – Mercy James, David, Estere, and Stelle. It’s not often that Madonna is seen out and about with her entire family, but when she is, it’s a very special moment! Not long after she met a woman from Malawi who told her about the country’s situation. “The universe was listening. I knew that’s where I was supposed to go,” Madonna remembered.

She told People in 2017, “Sometimes I would just close my eyes and just think, ‘Why isn’t my kitchen filled with dancing children?’ There’s so many children that need a home. I thought, ‘What am I waiting for? Just do it.'”
