Mac Miller and Ariana Grande’s friendship started in 2012 after Ariana tweeted she was ‘watching the [Macy’s Thanksgiving] parade from the couch all warm and cozy in our apartment. What are you thankful for at the moment?’ Mac responded with, ‘The Velvet Revival.’ That sparked a conversation that ended with the two teaming up for a version of ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside.’ The two sparked actual relationship rumors in 2013, but it would be three years later when they actually started dating. They went public at the 2016 MTV VMAs, and Ariana made it Instagram official a month later. Sadly, they broke up in May 2018, as Mac’s personal demons got the better of him. He passed away from an accidental overdose in September 2018. He was just 26.
