Liza Koshy is an American actress, television host, comedian and YouTuber. She rose to popularity on the video app Vine in 2013, and swiftly moved her content to YouTube, where she has garnered over 7 million subscribers. In early 2018, Liza suspended posting videos to her YouTube account to focus on her acting career, and then began to create new content once more in 2019. During her hiatus from YouTube, Liza’s career ventured into acting and hosting gigs. In 2018, she launched the YouTube Premium series Liza On Demand, in which she plays the title character, who takes on odd gigs and task-based jobs as shetries to navigate through life. She is also set to appear in the Netflix dance-comedy film Work It, alongside Sabrina Carpenter.
In addition to acting, Liza was Vogue’s on-camera host for the 2018 and 2019 Met Galas, and was one of the hosts for Total Request Live on MTV from 2017 to 2019. She has also hosted the revival of the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare since June 2018.
